Job Description

1.) Operations 

  • Ensures that the COMPANY’s HSE regulations are respected (especially procedures related to Work Permits), as well as approved operating procedures and standard industry practice during performance of operations placed under his responsibility,
  • Organises on site the operations which are placed under his responsibility,
  • Follows-up the day to day activities of the offshore teams; remains available to provide them the assistance and support as needed.
  • Follows-up the technical problems raised, follows-up the technical and contractual files, as instructed, follows up the warranty claims and the implementation of the corrective actions.
  • Assists the planning team by giving any technical support for the preparation of the jobs in his discipline.
  • With his teams assists all maintenance work activities under GMC, SMC or others following need,
  • Manages all valves interventions using the CMMS and checks intervention reports in the CMMS and writes the technical reports related to his field,
  • Ensure defective PSVs remove from installation are shipped to Onne for repair and re-integration into stock.
  • Ensures that Spare parts are available for current or coming PSV campaign with assistance of Onshore maintenance support team,
  • Follows-up the spare parts and consumables consumption, report anomalies and initiate suitable action in order to prevent shortage.
  • Supervises receipt of materials on a technical point of view.
  • Visit the offshore warehouse regularly and controls materials preservation and storage in warehouses, take action for improvement as needed.
  • Coordinates the transfer to onshore the repairs required to be subcontracted outside.
  • Involves in operational works including routines, overhaul and major shutdowns.
  • Carries out, at the Maintenance Superintendent request, any intervention within his field of competence.
  • Distributes the daily activity to his team as prepared by the planner.
  • Coordinates all valves and works services activities, Coordinates these actions with concerned staff
  • Takes part in different daily, weekly and site co-ordination meetings concerning all valves and works services activities.
2.) Methods 
  • Identifies recurrent corrective maintenance interventions, analyses them and suggests improvements,
  • Keeps a critical eye on current maintenance activities and, if need be, suggests improvements,
  • Warns support teams of any recurring problems related to the availability or quality of spare parts,
  • Suggests improvements and requests modifications.
3.) Quality Assurance 
  • Verifies the quality of his teams’ interventions by frequent on-site checks,
  • Ensures that the members of his teams have the qualifications and skills required for the tasks entrusted to them and, if need be, suggests corrective measures.
  • Performs periodic reports as required
Job Purpose 
  • He is responsible for all valves follow up and works services within his field of competence.
  • He ensures that all valves activities under his responsibility are carried out in strict accordance with the COMPANY’s current safety rules and operating procedures.
  • He manages FMC / works services with multi skill: painters, welders, riggers, scaffolders, fitters and abseilers.
  • He ensures the availability of his team members following priority defined by Maintenance Superintendant.
Accountabilities 
  • Within the framework of USAN - DW Operations, the main objectives are to:
  • Respect of Safety rules for personnel and installations
  • Coordination and/or assistance of Company, contractors, materials transfer and stock management
  • Daily support: offshore/onshore Team
  • Technical analysis, technical recommendations
  • Organization of routine and major interventions, shutdown and overhauls
Requirements
The holder of this post must have the following qualifications: 
  • Higher National Diploma or Certificate (HND/HNC (A-levels + 3 years’ study) or BTS/DUT or equivalent,
  • 5 to 10 years’ experience in the maintenance field on oil and gas production installations,
  • A basic knowledge of the process of oil and gas treatment, installations and a thorough knowledge of the equipment used in oil and gas treatment installations
  • Good knowledge in management, painting, scaffolding, rigging...
  • Specific professional knowledge: SAP/R3 experience and know-how
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams,
  • Pride in his work, ability to maintain good relations with colleagues and others,
  • Physical ability to work on offshore installations in the climatic conditions of the site,
  • Working language: English.
  • He must have proven ability as a leader of small teams.
  • Perfectly competent and independent in his field, he must show common sense and organizational ability.
